Talking Civil War History

Today I was interviewed for an upcoming documentary by Chris Small of The Lincoln Project.  Since 1997, Chris has been portraying Abraham Lincoln studying and educating the public about the man and the Civil War era.  His current project mixes Chris’ love of history and his Seventh-day Adventist belief.  He has teamed up with COGfilm and the project is tentatively titled, WAR IN HEAVEN, WAR ON EARTH: The Birth of the Seventh-day Adventist Church During the American Civil War.  This was a fun interview to do as I share the same interest that Chris does.  The Seventh-day Adventist Church was legally incorporated in 1863, smack dab in the middle of the U.S. Civil War.  The relationship between the birth of the Adventist church, slavery, politics, and the Civil War is definitely worth exploring.  We certainly enjoyed ourselves today!

  1. Thanks, Jim! We had a great time with you, and will keep you posted as we get the ball rolling on the project.
