About Me

Greetings, my name is Jim Jolly and I hold a BA in History from Rutgers and a Master of Education from Rutgers as well.  I was enrolled in a doctorate program at Middle Tennessee State University and taught there as an adjunct.  I left for personal reasons an am currently enrolled in a Masters program in History at American Military University.  I have worked at Stones River National Battlefield and Chickamauga & Chattanooga National Military Park running the visitor center’s bookstores.  I have had chapters on US Civil War websites published in the History Highway 2000 and the World History Highway and have received acknowledgements in: Chickamauga: A Battlefield History in Images (2004) and Civil War Battlefields: The Landscapes of War (2004), and TravelBrains’ Chickamauga Field Guide (2003).  In addition, I am an adjunct instructor at Southern Adventist University and designed an on-line version of American History I for their Division of Online Learning.  I have taught American History and Institutions I & II, History of the South, From Colony to Nation, and Age of Jackson.  Currently, I am working as an interpreter for Colonial Williamsburg & teaching on-line for Southern Adventist university.
